Shane Foley grasped his Sligo opportunities with both hands today and completed a treble in the Hop House 13 Handicap, as Butter Fingers (4/7f) continued the excellent form of Galway festival sensation trainer Ross O'Sullivan.
O'Sullivan won with four of six Galway runners last week and while Favori Logique was a rare loser when failing by a neck at Wexford today, Butter Fingers successfully reverted to the flat when beating Fine Print by a small margin.
Butter Fingers had previously won Tipperary's opening juvenile hurdle of the year in July and today Foley, whose earlier winners were for Jessica Harrington, said "he was a bit slowly away - which I thought he might be, as it takes him a while to warm into it.
“Gary (Carroll, on More Profit steadied it right up going past the winning post and I was able to freewheel a bit closer.
"It was a bit messy but, in the end, he outstayed them. For a big horse I don't think he was in love with that slower ground. It was a good bit of placing by Ross and his horses are flying.
"I'd say whatever he does on the Flat will be a bonus compared to what he does over hurdles."
