Foley ends day on knight note
Tom Foley who had unfortunately seen his gambled-on Roi Toscan take a fall earlier in the day, ended proceedings on a happier note when Knight Realm partnered by his daughter, Adrienne, got the better of the odds-on Bold Banks by half a length in the '21st January – Thyestes Day At Gowran Park' Flat Race.
This was run at a crawl to halfway. Knight Realm led three furlongs out and try as his rivals might they couldn't get to grips with the 7/1 shot. The Mullins representative, Bold Banks (4/7) hadn't the change of gear when required but he kept going without getting there.
Knight Realm finished second in this same event a year ago, to the Mullins-trained Cadspeed.
