Foildubh shows guts at Tramore
Foildubh became the second all-the-way winner in as many races at Tramore as he captured the Metal Man Novice Hurdle under Robbie Colgan.
Owned and trained by John Ryan, host of the Templemore point-to-point at Fairyhill, this Woods Of Windsor gelding showed a likeable attitude to fend off the favourite Wee Giant by half a length.
Ryan said: "He'll go to Cheltenham now next month for a two mile six. That'll be my first runner there. He is a good novice - as tough as nails, with plenty of guts. He's the best horse I've ever had.
"Every time he's won he has beaten a Willie Mullins hotpot, that's the third time now!"
