Mikey Fogarty is beginning to make up for time lost through injury in April and rode his third winner since his recent return, steering the Paul Nolan trained Solita to win the McMahons Builders Providers Branches Nationwide Mares Handicap Hurdle at Limerick today.
Fogarty returned to action late last month and was riding his third winner this week on the daughter of King's Theatre, which was following up a recent Listowel win.
Nolan wasn't present but his brother James Nolan later stated “Mikey (Fogarty) hasn't returned when Mark (Walsh) rode her to win at Listowel but in fairness to Mark, she wouldn't have won only for his very good ride. The ground was quicker than ideal for her then and she seemed to be feeling it a little.”
“I've no plan at the moment for her but she'll probably go for another handicap next. The ground here today was beautiful and they have done a fantastic job with it.”
