Pat Flynn and Billy Lee teamed up to land the Curragh finale as Imperial Dream (9/1) landed the Tote, Never Beaten By SP Handicap.
Runner-up at Limerick and Leopardstown before an unplaced run at Galway, the Holy Roman Emperor gelding raced prominently towards the nearside rail and led a furlong-and-a-half out before being ridden out to hold Dynamic Force by three-parts of a length.
“Seaney Kelly, a good pal of mine from the Montelado days years ago, set up the syndicate and they are from Kildare, Dublin, Kerry and Roscommon,” said Flynn.
“He's a nice horse. I thought he might stay a stiff six and he was in good form so we said we'd come up and have a shot at it.
“Billy said he was pricking his ears at the end so it was good. Thank God he held on for the lads, it's a great syndicate and I'm delighted to get them, they were very good to come to us.
“It's a lovely winner at the Curragh for them, it's a day to remember.
“I bought him from Sir Mark Prescott, he was recommended to me.”
