Flyer well-backed in bumper
What An Flyer (8/1-6/1) justified support when driven clear over a furlong out to take the 2011 Three Day Easter Festival Mares Flat Race in fine style.
Mikey Fogarty 's mount responded well for pressure to settle the issue halfway up the straight, and stayed on strongly to beat Backinthere by seven lengths.
Those who supported 11/10 favourite Riltree knew they were in trouble as Patrick Mullins was hard at work early in the straight, and he could only manage sixth.
“She went well in a schooling race at Thurles about three weeks ago, and will go over hurdles now. She is out of a half-sister to What A Question, and there is a lot of stayers in her pedigree,” said Wexford trainer Ann Lambert.
