Flemensford makes the most of a run-out
Flemensford made it two wins in as many runs at Limerick when he landed the Guinness Handicap Hurdle under Robert Jones.
Eric McNamara's charge was struggling to get to Stony Grey Soil when that fellow, with Eddie Power up, ran out at the last leaving Flemensford to beat Stabilo by three lengths.
Winning trainer Eric McNamara said: "Robert is adamant he would have won. He thinks the lad in front was stopping but we'll never know. It was a good tough performance and he stays very well and he jumps really well too. It is nice to get a winner for J P (McManus, the owner). We'll go for another similar hurdle next and then he'll go back chasing.
"We think there could be a good three mile chase in him."
