Fisher Bridge back to his winning ways
Fisher Bridge was back to his winning ways when he made all to claim division one of the Connolly’s Red Mills Horse Care Cubes Handicap.
The Noel Meade trained gelding who was always in front was joined by My Blue Haven at the furlong marker.
The seven year old responded well to pressure and kept on well to post a two and a half length win.
Winning trainer Meade said afterwards: “He was good there and he stayed on well.”
“Tim [Carroll] gave him a good ride, he did exactly what he was told and it worked out well thankfully.”
“Two miles would probably suit him better. I’m not sure where we'll go now I have the Galway Plate in mind but I don’t know if he’s good enough and the same owners own Nicanor and we’re going to bring him back for the Plate.”
“He is rated highly over hurdles too but we’ll definitely go for another flat race.”
