Trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning completed a double at Leopardstown today when dual 1,000 Guineas winner Finsceal Beo’s daughter An Cailin Orga landed the Friends of Dublin Football Maiden.
Manning, earlier successful on Bolger's Oh Grace made most of the running on the daughter of Galileo who kept up her gallop in the straight for a two and a quarter lengths win over Treasure Chest
An Cailin Orga’s half brother Ol´ Man River, by Montjeu, was sold for E2,850,000 at the 2013 Goffs Orby Yearling Sale and after today's win, Bolger commented “she was very sick last year and did well to recover and get to the track.
“I would love to have her next year as she’ll go on and improve and she can go further.”
Dublin football manager Jim Gavin and former world boxing champion Bernard Dunne, who is part of the Dublin backroom team, were present to make the presentation for the race.
