Dandyville overcame a wide draw in 16 to win Dundalk's concluding DKITSU Race Night Handicap today, justifying 5/2 favouritism to score for trainer Natalia Lupini and jockey Wayne Lordan.
The son of Dandy Man raced wide throughout and having moved to lead with a furlong to race, scored by a length and three parts from Collective Power
It was Danydville's fourth success and Co Down-based Lupini later said “he’s dropped down to a very competitive mark. He was fit and well and in the time we had to wait for another race, he’s put a bit of condition on and was looking well. Six (furlongs) is his trip.
“We’ll talk to the owners (Dr J Syndicate) and see if we go again here or put him away and start again for the turf season. We’ll have a lot to look forward with him in the turf season next year.”
