Felix gets the cream
Felix Yonger (1/6f), as expected, comfortably landed the opening INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick today, scoring for trainer Willie Mullins and stable jockey Ruby Walsh.
Carrying the well known colours of Graham Wylie, the son of Oscar jumped to the front at the final flight and while he needed to be pushed out on the run-in, had nine lengths to spare over Beef To The Heels at the line.
Mullins was not present for the win but jockey Walsh did mention “he improved a good bit from Cork (runner-up) jumping-wise. He is a nicer horse to have, than to be looking at and he’ll get further.”
