Farringdon makes winning return
Farringdon made a winning return from injury to take the rated hurdle at Fairyhouse.
Davy Russell produced the gelding to lead going to the last and he stayed on strongly to score by four lengths.
8/11 favourite Smoking Aces stayed on to grab second in the closing stages from Fen Game
"It's his first actual run since January as he was injured in running at Cheltenham," said trainer Prunella Dobbs.
"It's absolutely wonderful to get a winner for Peter Savill, who is a neighbour of ours. This is the only horse he has in training in Ireland.
"We'll find a suitable race for him over Christmas. He loves this ground. It was his first time over 2m2f and he could even step up in distance.
"For two to have won this week is mega stuff for me."
Dobbs had struck in the bumper at Punchestown last Sunday with Our Girl Salley.
The Stewards found Shane Walsh guilty of easing down close home on Fen Game and hit him with a five day ban. The suspension is due to start on St Stephen's Day.
