Farclas made it two from two over fences, as he easily brushed aside his four rivals in the Corinthian For Special Occasions Novice Chase.
The Gordon Elliott trained five-year-old won the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival last year, but failed to make an impact on his next six outings.
He did however make the perfect start to his career over fences at Down Royal just nine days ago, and was sent off the 8/11 favourite to follow-up this evening.
Settled behind the leaders by Davy Russell, he improved into a share of the lead from four out and went on after the second last, stretching clear on the run-in, coming home five and a half lengths to the good. Or Jaune De Somoza (7/2 to 11/4 on-course) made it a 1, 2 for owners Gigginstown House Stud, with Rachael Blackmore aboard this one for Henry de Bromhead.
Elliott said afterwards: "He was well entitled to win that on ratings but I'd say he improved a lot from Down Royal. He likes the good ground so I'd say we’ll have a good bit of fun with him for the summer."
