Un Beau Roman ran out an extremely easy winner of the Sunday Hospitality Hurdle, justifying favouritism under Ruby Walsh for Willie Mullins.
The five-year-old son of Roman Saddle won his maiden hurdle over the course and distance in April in convincing fashion and he since ran well on the level at Wexford, finishing third to Annie Other.
Sent off the 8/11 favourite, was 5/4 this morning, the brown gelding made all the running, going clear from the third last, and staying on well up the hill to score by twenty-four lengths. Reafadda who raced in a distant last, stayed to take second at 4/1 under Pa King for John Ryan, while Dylan Ross was twenty-eight lengths back in third.
Ruby Walsh said afterwards: "Dylan Ross didn't turn up today, or the last time here, and Reafadda had a tough race in Galway so my horse was the fresher horse.
"The way he jumps and travels it suits him here. He has plenty of pace but he is not the strongest at the finish."
