French import Enough Said gained a second win of 2019 when landing the opening Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk today for owner Theresa Marnane, trainer Aidan Fogarty and jockey Bill Lee.
The son of Kyllachy was trained by Matthieu Palussiere in France where he failed to win in 12 starts but today, having his seventh start at the minimum trip in Ireland, beat runner-up Early Call by a neck.
Afterwards jockey Lee stated “he jumped a little slow but he got up and travelled well. I won on him at Bellewstown earlier in the year and he did the same thing — he has a lot of speed.
“The last 50 (yards) I was just holding on but he’s a horse with a lot of pace.”
“I had 57 winners in the grass season, which was my best total, so hopefully I can get over 60 for the year.”
