Encanto Bruno continued the fine run of trainer John McConnell when staying on best to land the concluding Way To Paris At Coolagown Stud INH Flat Race at Cork.
Bought by current connections after winning a point-to-point for Colin Motherway in March, the Mahler gelding looked a promising type here as he travelled strongly before galloping all the way to the line.
Ben Harvey took up the running after three out and always had enough underneath him to keep the challengers at bay.
The winning jockey reported; "he is a lovely horse, was impressive when he won his point to point and we've liked him ever since we got him. We haven't done a whole lot of work with him but what bits we have done, he has shown plenty.
"He is still raw and learning and when he came from the sales he got a bit light. In fairness to John he has taken his time with him and done a great job.
"He won snug enough and is a chaser in the making. He is by Mahler and they are tough and stay, so he should have a bright future."
