The Sabrina Harty trained Empress Toorah recorded her third career win in the I.T.B.A. Working For Southern Regional Breeders European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap at Cork today.
Ridden by Leigh Roche, fresh from a notable Galway festival where he partnered three winners, produced the daughter of Holy Roman Emperor to lead over a furlong out before staying on well for a length win over Octavia
Afterwards Harty stated "she had a little nick after her last run which too a while to come right but that's a great prize to win and well worth the wait.
"It only cleared up last week but she's very professional and Leigh gave her a great ride. We'll look for some blacktype before the end of the summer."
