Andrew Ring stepped in for the spare on opening Gordon Elliott winner, Everybreathyoutake and it was Denis O’Regan that deputised to bring up the double for Cullentra House at Downpatrick aboard Song Of Namibia in the Down Time Festival Rated Novice Hurdle.
Jack Kennedy was to ride this fellow but missed out as he was ill and O’Regan was at his confident best on Song Of Namibia.
In truth the Cape Cross gelding was much the best, beating So Enjoy by seven length to justify the heavy support that forced him into 6/5 favouritism.
Assistant trainer Ian Amond said: "It was a nice race to start him off and he did everything straightforward.
"You would be hoping there might be another one in him."
