A third race at Limerick, a third French-bred winner. While the first two were for Willie Mullins, his big rival Gordon Elliott got in on the act as the Cian Collins-ridden Cadeau Du Bresil (6/1) came out on top in the Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle. Field Robin looked as though she might have got the upper hand, when better over the second last than Cadeau Du Bresil.
Collins soon switched his mount, owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, towards the inner, and he was quickly back with every chance.
The five times previously raced son of Blue Bresil led and stayed on best from the last for a three length verdict over Field Robin.
"He hadn't a bad run at Cork the last day when he didn't jump great. He jumped well today though, and it's nice to win with him as he has good owners who have plenty of horses with the yard. We'll try and find a weak race for him somewhere and he'll be ok," said Elliott.
"He is what he is and if he can win a few races it'll be great."
Looking to the weekend the Cullentra House operator said: "We have loads of runners — she (Apple's Jade) is declared anyway but we'll see what way the ground is tomorrow.
"We won't want it too dry but she seems to be in good form and came out of the race (the Fighting Fifth last weekend) well so we'll see what happens."
