Trainer Gordon Elliott completed a double at Punchestown today as his Gigginstown House Stud owned Cracking Smart landed the Coral.ie Bet 5 Get 20 In Bets Maiden Hurdle under jockey Jack Kennedy.
The son of Great Pretender was a bumper winner when last seen at Fairyhouse in April and today scored a four lengths win over Shady Operator which himself shaped with promise on his own hurdle debut.
Elliott, earlier on the mark with Campeador later said “he's a nice big horse and a chaser for the future. He'll stay over hurdles this season.”
