Neon Diamond really ground out victory in the mares' bumper at Limerick to bookend the card for Gordon Elliott. Harrys Annie 13/8 favourite, was still in striking distance at the furlong pole but soon could make no impression and dropped to fourth as Neon Diamond cranked up the pressure on her rivals.
Neon Diamond forged on well to come in by three and a-quarter lengths from Grainne A Chroi (25/1) who was a neck ion front of Mount Shenshan (33/1).
Jockey Harry Swan said: "She had a very good run in Leopardstown behind one of Willie's (Mullins) horses (Magic McColgan) which just got the better of her and ran well afterwards.
"Today's ground wasn't ideal but she is tough and honest and, while I just had to get after her, she hit the line well enough.
"They'll have plenty of fun with her and (she) is a filly to look forward to."
Elliott also landed the opening fillies' maiden hurdle with Doctor Nightingale (7/2).
