Gordon Elliott continued his recent flying form at Kilbeggan today and Akorakor gave him a double on the day when claiming the beginners chase.
Bryan Cooper made the running on the 2/1 joint favourite and he kicked for home on the long run to the last.
Fellow market leader Macnicholson came through to claim the runner-up spot in the closing stages but never looked a danger to the seven-and-a-half length winner.
Akorakor had been second on his chase debut at the course earlier this month.
"It's been a good day and we're probably a bit unlucky we didn't have three. The horses are running well," said Elliott.
"Hopefully he'll keep running away. He's in the sales in September and will run until then. We'll mix and match over hurdles and fences."
