Ella provides Magnier Jnr with his first win as owner
Ella Watson under J.P.Magnier, provided the Magnier family with a satisfying moment in the Sponsor A Race at www.racesponsors.co.uk Mares Bumper at Dundalk tonight, providing the jockey's brother M.V.Magnier with his first winner as an owner.
Owner M.V., son of Coolmore supremo John Magnier and who himself partnered six winners as an amateur rider, was attending a sales in America and missed Ella Watson's hard fought short head win over Lady Chimera
Winning trainer Charlie Swan did report "Ella Watson was having her last chance in a bumper and had disappointed badly at Limerick on her latest bumper start - however all my horses were running badly then."
He added "She is very well bred and will go for a maiden hurdle next."
