Einsteins Folly dominates his rivals

Einsteins Folly made light of being top weight in the seven furlong nursery when dominating the race under Ronan Whelan for trainer Jim Bolger.
With Whelan’s five-pound claim factored in he carried 9-6 today and was giving lumps of weight to four of his five rivals. Horizon Sky was in receipt of one pound.
Einsteins Folly (5/2) was always in the front rank and after burning off fellow front-runner Lake Louise Whelan kept him up to his work to win by two and a quarter lengths.
Punters at the track came for Horizon Sky, trained by David Wachman. He was backed in from 3/1 to 9/4 favourite. He kept on in the final furlong without threatening the winner.
“That’s his ninth run and he’s been mixing it in good nurseries. Today’s race probably wasn’t as good,” Ger Flynn, travelling head lad to Jim Bolger, said.
“He had a hefty weight of 9-10 in those nurseries, but we took five pounds off with Ronan and it seemed to do the trick.
“He’s a fine big horse and Ronan said he did it easy enough in the end.”
Prior to today Jim Bolger had 139 runners on the flat at Gowran and 21 winners since 2008 for a level-stake profit of 18.40 euro. Again he proved to be a trainer worth following here.
