Easy win for Weapon's Amnesty
The Charles Byrnes trained Weapon's Amnesty under Davy Russell, ran out a very easy 28 lengths winner of the Gowran Park Racing Club 2009 Maiden Hurdle at Gowran today.
The son of Presenting moved through to lead after the third last flight, staying on well for an easy win.
Afterwards Byrnes, who runs the highly promising Solwhit at Cheltenham tomorrow, reported "the race wasn't the strongest and Weapon's Amnesty would need to be winning that race like that. However, I have no ambitious plans for him but he needs a trip and will make a nice three mile chaser some day."
