- Dylan on the double for Meade
Dylan on the double for Meade
Trainer Noel Meade and stable jockey Paul Carberry combined for an opening races double at Fairyhouse today when Dylan Ross comfortably landed the New Tote Sports Lounge Maiden Hurdle for the pair.
Dylan Ross, an unlucky loser on his previous hurdle outing last Christmas, eased his way clear from the final flight for a three and half lengths win over Savello
Afterwards Meade stated “ I was hoping he’d win like that and he did - we like him a lot.
“He disappointed us at The Curragh on his last run but it transpired his wind was wrong and he had an operation.
“I hope he’ll be running in the good novice hurdles over the winter and he’ll certainly be entered for the Royal Bond Hurdle. He won well over two miles there but I don’t think he’ll have any problems over 2m4f. He could go for one of those good novice hurdles at Navan next though.”
The winner is owned by the 20 member No Rush Man Syndicate, from Clogherhead Co Louth, many of whom were in attendance in the packed winner’s enclosure.
