Dainty Diva beat Snatch Back and Emmy Lou in the concluding race at Wexford

Local amateur rider Harley Dunne has been starring on the making of a point to point song 'And They're Off' - all proceeds will go to the Jockeys Emergency Fund video on p2p.ie (worth a watch). He gave the bookmakers at Wexford some relief in the finale when riding 10/1 chance Dainty Diva to win the Casey Concrete New Ross Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
Dunne rides a lot of Cork trainer Donal Coffey's runners and here he made all on the Indian Danehill mare. Shannie Doyle, aiming to join her brother Jack among the winners today (he had a big success at Chepstow on Shammick Boy) got Snatch Back close at the line but that Flemensfirth mare went down by half a length.
"She's as tough as nails and she deserved to win. She'd been placed a few times and I've ridden her everyday bar one. The softer ground suited her there," commented Dunne. (DM & EM)
