The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden caused somewhat of a surprise when 20/1 shot Duchess Of Foxland from the Mark Fagan stable came home in front under Emmet McNamara.

Connections of Duchess of Foxland had a few anxious moments as they had to survive a Stewards' Enquiry as the winner slightly hampered the runner-up a furlong from home.

McNamara who was prominent for most progressed to lead from under two furlongs out and kept on well despite drifting left from over a furlong out for a three parts of a length win.
