A winner at Quakerstown point-to-point on the final day of last March and subsequently purchased at Goffs Punchestown Sale for 65,000 by Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins, the well-related Measureofmydreams brought up a double for Willie Mullins, under his son Patrick, in the concluding Athboy (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race at Navan.
Plenty still held hopes in the straight, but the eye was drawn to Mullins sitting motionless in the Gigginstown House Stud silks from two down. Once 'given the office,' the Shantou gelding, a half-brother to Grade 2 winner, Lord Who, pulled away to triumph by eight lengths from Captain Hox
Mullins, out of luck at Meydan with Simenon but earlier on the mark here with Touch The Eden said: "He showed a nice bit of improvement (from his second place finish at Thurles in January) and he hadn't shown that much at home.
"He looks like he could win a winners bumper on that and he won't go jumping until next season." (AM & EM)
