Doyle double at Cork
Jockey Tom Doyle recorded a double at Cork today, winning two maiden hurdles for local trainers Jimmy Mangan and Tom Nagle.
Doyle's first winner came in the opening INH Stallion Owners Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle on Mangan's Alpine Glade
The daughter of Oscar raced prominently before progressing to lead at the second last before staying on well for a six lengths win over Cheltenham Bumper fifth Lilywhitedancer
Doyle doubled up when Tom Nagle's Bishop Looney made a winning hurdling debut in the www.corkracecourse,ie Maiden Hurdle.
The former bumper winner chased the leaders, and although helped by the fall of second placed Tinakellylad at the third last flight, got to the front at the second last before staying on well for a five lengths win over Bangonform
Afterwards Nagle reported "The Bishop Looney will go for a winners' of one next and will stay three miles in time as he is still only a young horse."
