Double up for Bolger and Manning
Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning secured a first and last race double when combining with Burn The Floor in the concluding one mile maiden for three-year-olds and older at Leopardstown.
The three-year-old filly sprinted away from her four rivals over a furlong out and quickly put the race to bed. Manning was able to canter home in the last 150 yards. The winning distance was two-and-a-half lengths.
Frustrating 11/10 favourite Jolie Jioconde took second place for the third race in-a-row. She had no answer to the winner’s surge in the final furlong.
Jim Bolger said: “We’ll see what the handicapper does with her. I wouldn’t mind keeping her in training next year. I think she will improve.”
