Dont Kick Nor Bite recorded her third win of 2017, as she took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase.
Successful over flights at Cork and Killarney respectively, she was fourth on her most recent outing in a handicap chase at Kilbeggan.
Back in novice company today she was sent off the 9/10 favourite (from evens) under Barry Geraghty for trainer Robert Tyner and owner JP McManus.
Settled behind the leader, she improved to lead after the fifth last. She was pressed from two out by 50/1 outsider Drumlosh Sallie and needed to be ridden out on the run-in to see off that rival by two and a half lengths.
The runner-up was ridden by Ian McCarthy for John Carr, while Balofilo was six lengths back in third.
Geraghty said afterwards: "She was a little cold over the first couple of fences but warmed up well. She jumped nicely and did it as you'd hope she might, but had to work in the end.
"She ran okay the last day in Kilbeggan, but it was a nice opportunity for her today."
