A half-brother to 2009 Royal Bond hero Dunguib, Dinnie's Vinnie (16/1) gave the Dempseys a great success in the Grade B 1800 624 524 Telebetting Bar One Racing Porterstown Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse.
Luke Dempsey has now won seven races for his father Philip and the TFC Syndicate on Dinnie's Vinnie, three of which have come at Fairyhouse.
In this three mile five furlong event the lightly weighted ten-year-old made all, and asked for more from two out the son of Vinnie Roe eventually put five and a half lengths between himself and runner-up Major Destination
Gambled-on favourite Undressed (100/30 into 2/1) had to settle for fourth place on his debut for the Willie Mullins yard.
“He’s a horse that always keeps a bit for himself but today he did more than I’ve ever seen him do. He looked better than I ever saw him today and jumped brilliant. He likes a galloping track and loves it around here," said Philip Dempsey.
“He could go for the Thyestes. We’ll see about the ground and probably give Christmas a miss, and maybe the National back here. He’d have to do something again to get into that.
“He’s been great for the owners (the Beattie family) and has won seven races now.”
Rachael Blackmore, rider of Kilkishen trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount jumped poorly.
D.N. Russell, rider of Out Sam (GB) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kilkishen, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
