The Jack Davison trained She's Quality proved far too good for the opposition when easily winning the Listed Abergwaun Stakes at Tipperary.
A course and distance winner at the track in July, the three-year-old filly appreciated a return to this sharp 5f, having been unplaced at the Curragh and Deauville in recent starts.
Wearing first-time blinkers, the 85/40f was soon in front under Billy Lee, injecting a smart turn of foot that saw her take lengths out of her rivals by halfway.
Pushed along over a furlong out, the Acclamation filly stayed on strongly inside the last 200 yards to beat Jakajaro by three lengths.
Billy Lee, “She’s a filly with a lot of speed.
“Jack ran me this morning and said try and track something, but he said at halfway let her stride on and try to sicken them a bit.
“She broke ok and ended up in front sooner but with first-time blinkers I wasn’t going to break her stride and I wanted to let her do it nice and even.
“As I said she’s a filly with a lot of speed and she put them to the sword today on a fast track.
“It’s good to get the Listed win for her and hopefully she can step up again.
“He’d mentioned the Flying Five so hopefully that is her next destination.”
Paddy Power went 33/1(from 50) She's Quality for the Flying Five Stakes.
