Spilt Passion made it 13th time lucky today at Dundalk as the Ger Lyons trained maiden landed the Follow On Twitter @DundalkStadium Handicap under jockey Sean Davis.
The Newtown Anner Stud owned daughter of Fascinating Rock had been placed seven times previously, twice beaten a head into second, but today flew home to lead close home and defeat Stellar Spirit by half a length.
Lyons' stable jockey Colin Keane is Stateside for his ride on Tarnawa this weekend and following the race the trainer's brother and assistant Shane Lyons reported “it’s great for Sean who is with us now.”
He added “patience is a virtue. She has been trying for a while but has done it well there today.
“She is in the November Breeding Sales so I would say that is where she will go but we’ll have a chat with the owner. She showed a good turn of foot and a bit of heart which was good.”
