Davinia's Tip won for the second New Year Day's in succession at Tramore when opening her account over fences with a good front-running performance in the Knockenduff Martin McGrath Memorial Beginners Chase.
Adrian Maguire 's charge took her maiden hurdle at the venue 12 months ago and was back to score over the larger obstacles today.
Declan Queally, recording a double following the earlier victory of West Of The Edge sent his mount straight into the lead and she powered away in the closing stages.
A slight mistake at the second last didn't make much impression as she pulled clear before the final fence for an 18-length success over Hop In
The winner weakened in the closing stages after making the running on her chase debut at Wexford in November but was supported today from 5/1 into 11/4. 7/4 favourite Wither Hills fell at the first.
"That was nice. She jumped well and she handled the ground and the track," said Maguire.
"She also had a mares allowance and Declan claiming five helped too. I didn't look at anything for her after today so thank God she won.
"She won here on similar ground and she was second here as well. She handles the track and that why we came back."
