Darceys dances to success
Darceys Dancer caused a 12/1 surprise in the Gowran Park Racing Club 2011 Beginners Chase, ultimately running out an unchallenged winner in the hands of Paul Carberry.
Noel Meade 's Lear Spear gelding, carrying blinkers, had joined Mission Possible and Bob Lingo when that pair departed independently at the third last. From there Darceys Dancer sauntered home to beat the staying-on Your Busy by five lengths.
Carberry commented afterwards: "I had those two beat when they came down."
This was a nice performance from Darceys Dancer considering it was his first start for 123 days.
Bob Lingo, down for a while after his fall, thankfully got to his feet none the worse.
