Dan Dare wins opener at Fairyhouse
The opening race this afternoon at Fairyhouse, The Fairyhouse Membership Maiden Hurdle Division 1 was won by the Noel Meade trained Dan Dare at odds of 9/4 and ridden by Paul Carberry.
Winning trainer Meade commented, "He was beaten 27 lengths by Bob Lingo the last day at Punchestown and that was a fair performance by Bob Lingo as I think of a lot of this fellow. I think he'll be better on better ground. I might run him in the Royal Bond but we'll run him in an easier race beforehand. He is a half brother to Fleminsfirth."
