Crowley newcomer wins Killarney bumper
The Joe Crowley trained newcomer Seldom Fred landed the John O´Connell Memorial Bumper, the concluding race of the Killarney July Festival.
The son of Mr Combustible got the better of the persistent challenge of runner-up Branden Lady to win, in the words of course commentator Dessie Scahill, in "a head-bobber" finish.
Crowley was represented by his assistant Damian Byrne who stated "Seldom Fred is a really tough horse who stays well. He´ll go for a winners´ bumper at Galway and the track should suit him."
