Gavin Cromwell doubled up at Clonmel through Midnight It Is in the concluding handicap chase.
The two fences in the straight were omitted from this extended two-and-a-half-mile contest due to low-lying sun and a whole host of horses turned for home with chances.
It was a long way home with the two fences ruled out and it was Midnight It Is who arrived on the scene swinging away a furlong and a half down.
He was shaken up inside the final furlong by Keith Donoghue and saw it out well to win by three lengths at 4/1.
Freddie Robal finished second at 17/2 and he was two-and-three-quarter-lengths clear of Carrolls Cottage (6/1).
Donoghue said: "He has been frustrating and we thought he'd have won over fences before now.
"I think he liked that ground well.
"It wasn't the strongest of races and he was down in distance which probably suited on that ground."
