Crescent wins Hans down
Trainer Michael Hourigan combined with his former stable jockey Andrew McNamara to win the New Ross Maiden Hurdle at Wexford today, with the promising Hans Crescent
Hans Crescent, a son of Dansili, raced prominently throughout and eventually moved through under a well-timed ride to hit the front on the run-in to score a two lengths win over Ach Aye Surely
Afterwards Hourigan stated “Hans Crescent is a very nice horse and will have learned a lot from today as it was just his second run over hurdles and Andrew said he was a little green.”
He added “he probably should have won a bumper but there was no point persevering as chasing is his game long-term.”
