The father and son team of Pat and Jack Doyle teamed up for a popular success when course specialist Annie Other landed some nice bets in the 2m1f handicap chase.
Available at 4/1 this morning and supported on track from 5/2 into 6/4 favourite, the now four-time course winner cruised to the front approaching the final fence.
She quickly settled the issue by stretching clear, although was far from foot-perfect at the last.
The Bob Back mare was not unduly pressed on the short run-in to beat Sports Line (25/1) by two and a half lengths, with Thouva (16/1) finding no extra before the last another six lengths back in third.
Doyle senior said, “She won’t get into the Plate so we will probably bring her to the Galway Blazers, and she might run in the big amateur Flat race as well.
“We were a bit concerned that they may have over watered here but she is very honest and quick. She has run here five times now, winning four and was second on the other start.”
