Countess sticks head out in last
Gipsy Countess proved game in front when taking the concluding maiden at Tipperary for Jim Bolger.
Kevin Manning got a good tune from the daughter of Sadler's Wells as she was strongly pressed inside the final furlong. Dearest Girl and then Dance On By threw down strong challenges but Manning's mount held them at bay by a head and the same.
"She's very well bred and we're delighted to get her head in front," said Ger Flynn, Bolger's travelling head lad.
"We'll probably try and find a listed race for her now. She's very game and has a great attitude."
