Coulston comes late for victory
Sean Og Coulston wore down front-runner Hurricane Twister inside the final furlong to claim the Summer Sunday 17th July Handicap at Tipperary.
25/1 shot Hurricane Twister made a bold bid to make all in the seven-furlong contest but couldn't hold the late charge of John Coleman's charge.
Niall McCullagh produced his mount with a well-timed run to get on top in the closing stages for a three-parts-of-a-length success at 12/1.
Stephen McCarthy, formerly assistant to the late John Mulhern, has now taken over the same position for Coleman and he said afterwards:-
"That's the first winner we've had since I joined the yard. Niall said we should aim him at a seven-furlong handicap at Galway."
