Coscorrig routs opposition
Trainer Dessie Hughes’ Coscorrig gained a deserved success at Navan today, winning the Kilberry Novice Chase under Bryan Cooper.
The daughter of Pistolet Bleu was much more at home on today’s sounder surface and eventually recorded an easy 19 lengths win over Uncle Tom Cobley with 5/4f Tawaag well held in third.
Afterwards Hughes reported “she has been running well on heavy ground but was crying out for good ground. We’ll go for a mares chase at Fairyhouse next and her owner is keen to get some blacktype for her too.”
