Cork Treble for Mullins/Walsh
Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh completed a near 15/1 treble when Serpentaria added to their earlier gains with Coffee Tea Or Me and Fixed Fee by taking the Easter Festival Hurdle in the style of a twos on chance.
This British-bred landed a gamble on her handicap hurdle bow at Leopardstown last time and was put up 13Ibs to a mark of 131 following that effort. She was stepping into conditions company here but soon in front the daughter of Golden Snake was always holding the chasing pair of Footy Facts and Essex up the straight, prevailing by two and a half lengths and a length and a half.
Patrick Mullins said: "She'll go for a mares hurdle in Fairyhouse and then go on to Punchestown. She might go back on the flat too."
Kilcrea Castle and Nicanor were both absentees here owing to the ground (good ? yielding in places). This left a five runner field. (EM)
