Corbett off the mark on Light
Eamonn Corbett gave King's Light a cool ride to partner his first winner in the novice handicap hurdle at Wexford.
The 7lb claimer produced the gelding to lead going to the last and he kept on well in the closing stages to record a length-and-three-quarters success over Breeze With Ease
"I don't have him that long. I put a tongue tie on him and it seemed to work," said winning trainer Muirdeach Kelly, who is based in Ballinasloe.
It was a break through success for Corbett, who is orginally from Wexford but now lives in Athlone. He has around 30 rides in point-to-points.
