Trainer John Joe Walsh is already making in-roads on his last season’s total of 23 national hunt winners and clocked up his fifth win of the new campaign when landing the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle at Gowran today with Copy Print under Brian O’Connell.
O’Connell moved Copy Print to the front at the last and from there, the son of Blue Print went on to record a comfortable eight and a half lengths win over Gone Platinum
Following the race, Co Cork based Walsh stated “he’d a bit of a mishap at Limerick earlier this year where he got a cut and it took a while to get him back. He wouldn't go on heavy ground.
"He travelled better than I expected, and I told Brian not to come too soon. He did it well and I'd say they went a good gallop."
