Jim Bolger sends a strong team to Roscommon this evening, with the 98 rated Copia Verborum appearing the best of these in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race.
Third in the Group Three Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown on his last start, the son of Vocalised drops in class now, and should be able to get the better of Invasion Day who finished fourth in the Tyros and Galway runner-up Cosmic Horizon
Bolger saddles Aiseolas in the feature race on the card, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
This mile-and-a-quarter contest looks a wide-open affair, with Aiseolas tried in a tongue-strap for the first time after a below-par effort at Limerick last time. Dream Of Words is the Coolcullen representative in the Tulsk Handicap, and after winning over the course and distance on her penultimate outing, this daughter of Dream Ahead looks a leading contender.
She was since fifth to Bucky Larson on her most recent start at Leopardstown, and off a mark of 80 she should be able to make her presence felt here. Teologia is another leading hope for Bolger in the Irish EBF Supporting Irish Champions Weekend Fillies Maiden but she may find a few of her rivals too good.
The Ger Lyons-trained Ancestral was a fine third on debut at the Curragh last month and she is sure to prove popular with punters in this extended mile-and-a-quarter contest.
Colin Keane takes the ride on Ancestral and he will be aboard The Bittern Cry for his father Ger in the first divide of the Alice Farrell Memorial Handicap.
This Dark Angel grey was sixth on her handicap debut at Killarney recently and it will be interesting to see how she fares with a first-time tongue-strap. New Identity won that Killarney contest and he is likely to have plenty of supporters in the second divide. High Mounte Leaderboard and Frankel newcomer Sapiens appear the ones to focus on in the Roscommon Apprentice Maiden, while handicap debutant Lovely Is The Rose is sure to attract interest in the concluding Roscommon Racecourse Handicap.
