Bryan Cooper suffered a suspected dislocated thumb after a fall in Kilbeggan this evening. The jockey went to hospital for checks and X-rays.
Cooper sustained the injury in the third race - the two mile handicap hurdle. His mount Castletown Bridge was brought down in an incident after the first hurdle when Star Of Angels slipped up on the approach to the bend. Persian Wind was also brought down and his jockey Brian Hayes went to hospital for X-rays on a shoulder injury while Katie O'Farrrell, who was on board Star Of Angels, suffered a finger injury.
Paul Townend replaced Gigginstown's retained rider on Ravished in the Midlands National later on in the evening. The Mouse Morris-trained Ravished took the honours at 7/2.
